I encountered this soup when i was walkin down the streets of Joplin (ya know, as ya do) and I came across this new lookin café place with a name that was so bad i just had to check it out (for those interested, it was somethin like "Lettuce Souprise You!" or somethin like that.) So I head in there and there's like five or six teens runnin around like chickens with their head cut off, doin a lot of work while the owners were apparently away. I was the only customer there at the time, surprisingly. So I sit down and look over towards where the servers would be and they're playin rock paper scissors to find out who gets to serve me. Obviously the one who wins walks up to me and gives me a menu. All the food names are puns. I order the most normal lookin one (named above) which looked like chicken noodle soup. About 35 minutes later, they come out with my food. Let's start with the broth. It was well made sure, but i could tell that they used a little to much water in it. the Chicken was well prepared, tasted good with the rest of the soup. They at least knew to add celery to help with the flavor of everything. There was a hint of garlic to it, which i appreciated. However, the carrots were sliced to big, and the onions they added made it a bit worse. Both of those were under cooked, didn't have the right texture/consistency, and were by far the worst part when usually they're great additions. And apparently peas counted as a surprise, but they were an unwelcome one. The noodles were at least sub-par, if not good. Over all, I'd give it about 4 stars outta 10. But I'd give them another shot to make it some day, cause it was just a couple of rookie mistakes that held it back from a higher score.
